Tack Swap Guidelines
Pre-Registration is encouraged for everyone.
Only one day to check-in your tack (Friday, September 21, 2012).
$10.00 participation fee is due at check in to anyone selling tack/Cash only.
Pre-registration (filling your paperwork out early):
Required for anyone selling over 50 items. Please pre-register no later than
Wednesday, September 19. You can also pre-register even if you're selling one or two items.
Pre-registration packages will be available for pick up beginning May 1, 2012.
Call George at (928) 636-0378.
Please Note: No more than 20 items will be accepted at check-in on Friday,
September 21 without pre-registering. This helps in ensuring a smoother and
quicker check-in of tack and minimizes last minute log jams when checking in everyone's tack.
Clothing will NOT be accepted (with the exception of show jackets/vests, chaps, and riding boots).
Tack or items with holes, broken leather, or in truly poor condition will NOT be accepted.
Helpful Hints for Getting Your Tack Sold
Know what your tack is worth. Check out e-bay and google online tack stores to
get an idea of what your make & model of saddles and bridles are being sold for
new & used. Check out local tack stores if you do not have Internet access.
Remember condition counts when it comes to setting a price!
If you are eager to sell your tack set a fair and reasonable price.
No "Or Best Offer" (OBO) on price tags please.
Be sure you clean and oil your leather prior to the sale.
Saddle soap and conditioning agents such as Neatsfoot Oil or Leather New will make
your leather shine and will keep the leather soft & supple
(do not use these cleaning/conditioning agents on the suede or nylon portions of your saddle).
Don't forget to use silver cleaner on your saddle's silver trim.
Parking for Check-in and Pick-up
You can only access this parking from Gail Gardner Way.
Using this parking will get you closer to the check-in area.
Parking your vehicle here during check-out will allow us to help you
get your tack back to your vehicle.
